Cell division and polarity in human HSC aging

In this project we are researching the polarity loss in aged human hematopoetic stem cells. As a first step, I collect the stem cells by flow cytometry from healthy human bone marrow (old and young). After that, I compare these two groups under the immunofluorescence microscope in consideration of their polarity for different proteins. In addition, I also check the impact of these differences in polarity on the cell division symmetry.
