Intestinal stem cell aging

Aging limits the life span of an organism mainly due to decrease in regenerative capacity of several organ systems. Most of the organ systems are stem cell based and stem function and maintenance go down during aging, limiting the regenerative potential of an organ. I am very much interested in canonical/non-canonical wnt signaling mechanisms and involvement of small RhoGTPase Cdc42 regulating stem cell maintenance, function and quiescence during aging.
